Hello there, autumn!🍂 This month's forecast says a golden rain of content is coming your way! Nature is treating us well this season, and while the leaves of the trees are slowly turning into a vibrant array of colors, we have some warm and really colorful news to share.
Without a doubt, you know what the spleen is and where it is located, but do you know how many borders, extremities or even impressions the spleen has? If not, then there is no need to worry. We have just added a completely new article on the spleen to our 3D Anatomy category. And, like always, once you have studied the article, you can find a matching quiz in the quizzes section.
Besides these additions, we added a ton of illustrations to our Media Library. Also, it received brand-new animated 3D materials. But you can read more about all these fantastic additions and updates in the details below.
1. 3D Anatomy: Fresh Spleen Article
In September, our team of anatomy lovers prepared and released a brand-new 3D article on the spleen. Unfortunately, this vital organ has often been neglected, so we have given it all the attention it deserves with this fresh addition.
Get ready to explore the spleen like never before. Our 3D Spleen article, packed with detailed information to take your understanding of this secondary lymphoid organ to the next level, is already available in our 3D Anatomy section under the abdomen region.
This fresh article features ten informative slides that cover a broad range of topics. Like all our 3D articles, this one also begins with a brief overview of the organ, covering the essential general information, including its functions.
It is followed by an exploration of the spleen's location and anatomical relations with other organs and structures. Understanding where the spleen is positioned is the key to comprehending its relationships with surrounding structures.
Next, we review the features that describe the spleen, such as its surfaces, borders, and extremities, along with details about its ligaments. This article also highlights the impressions found on the visceral surface of the spleen, marking the sites where it connects with other organs.
The 3D Spleen article also provides an overview of the arterial and venous blood supply of the organ. Additionally, it covers the innervation of the spleen. Our comprehensive descriptions and included information will ensure you grasp the functionality of the spleen in the broader context of human anatomy.
As a bonus, we have also included a short description of the accessory spleen - a fascinating benign condition many might not be aware of. Therefore, our new 3D article is an invaluable resource not only for students and professionals but also for anyone curious about this remarkable organ.

2. Media Library: New Animated 3D Materials
As we promised in the previous blog article, we continued to expand our Media Library with Animated 3D materials. During September, we added several new models showcasing the biomechanics of the hand. Now, you can explore detailed animations of movements at the metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints.
Do you know how the bones interact when a person performs circumduction of a finger? If not, head straight to our Media Library! We have added movements such as circumduction, flexion and extension, and abduction and adduction of the fingers at the metacarpophalangeal joints. Additionally, you'll also find animations demonstrating flexion and extension between the phalanges at the interphalangeal joints of the hand.
These additions continue to build on our goal of providing a comprehensive resource for understanding joint biomechanics. Whether you're delving into hand and finger movements or reviewing other areas of the body, our animated 3D materials will enhance your study and understanding of how the body moves.
