The pronator teres is a fusiform-shaped superficial muscle of the forearm located in its anterior compartment. It lies between the flexor carpi radialis on the medial side and the brachioradialis on the lateral side. Deep to the muscle lies the flexor digitorum superficialis, and the ulnar artery passes nearby. Additionally, the brachioradialis covers the distal end of the pronator teres. Finally, the lateral margin of the pronator teres represents the medial boundary of the cubital fossa.
