The palmaris longus is a long, slender, fusiform-shaped superficial muscle of the forearm located in its anterior compartment. It lies between the flexor carpi radialis laterally and the flexor carpi ulnaris medially. Additionally, it overlies the flexor digitorum superficialis muscle.
