The flexor carpi ulnaris is a long, superficial muscle of the forearm located in its anterior compartment. It is the most medially positioned muscle among the superficial anterior forearm muscles. Similar to the pronator teres, this muscle also has two heads: a larger humeral head and a smaller ulnar head that are connected by a tendinous arch. Both heads are named according to the bones from which they originate.
