Dorsal nerve of clitoris
The dorsal nerve of the clitoris (latin: nervus dorsalis clitoridis) is one of the terminal branches of the pudendal nerve in a female.
The dorsal nerve of the clitoris passes anteriorly along the ischiopubic ramus deep to the perineal membrane, then it runs on the dorsum of the clictoris.
On its course dorsal nerve of the clitoris gives off muscular and urethral branches.
The dorsal nerve of the clitoris innervates the clitoris. The muscular branches of the dorsal nerve of the clitoris supply the deep transverse perinei and the urethral sphincter, while the urethral branches supply the mucosa of the urethra.
