Mastoid canaliculus (Arnold's canal)

The mastoid canaliculus is a small canal that transmits the auricular branch of the vagus nerve (CN X). Its opening is found on the inferior surface of the petrous part within the lateral wall of the jugular fossa. In fact, the mastoid canaliculus originates from the vascular portion of the jugular foramen. This canaliculus is also known as Arnold's canal.
