Medial malleolar branches
The medial malleolar branches (Latin: rami malleolares mediales) are vessels that arise from the posterior tibial artery and supply the medial malleolus, ankle joint, and tarsal bones. They turn around the medial malleolus and form the medial malleolar network together with the anterior medial malleolar artery arising from the anterior tibial artery, and medial tarsal arteries from the dorsalis pedis artery.
