Deep circumflex iliac vein
The deep circumflex iliac vein (Latin: vena circumflexa ilium profunda) is a tributary of the external iliac vein. It is formed by the union of the venae comitantes (accompanying veins) of the corresponding artery. The deep circumflex iliac vein collects blood from the lower part of the lateral abdominal wall. The vein drains into the external iliac vein slightly above the inguinal ligament.
