Sural arteries

The sural arteries (also called inferior muscular arteries, Latin: arteriae surales) are usually two branches arising from the distal part of the popliteal artery. The arteries descend ventrally to the triceps surae muscle. The sural arteries supply the gastrocnemius, soleus and popliteus muscles.
