Vomer

The vomer is an unpaired, thin, trapezoidal-shaped bone of the viscerocranium. It is directed sagittally and is found at the midline of the nasal cavity. Therefore, it contributes to the formation of the bony nasal septum along with the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone. The vomer goes in an anteroinferior direction and forms the posteroinferior part of the bony nasal septum.
