The orbital part of the frontal bone is a paired plate-like horizontal portion. Both orbital parts are separated by a gap-like structure known as the ethmoidal notch. It has such a name as it is filled by the cribriform plate of the ethmoid. Therefore, it articulates with the ethmoid.
