Stylohyoid

The stylohyoid muscle is a paired, relatively narrow suprahyoid muscle. It stretches between the temporal and hyoid bones in close proximity to the superior aspect of the posterior belly of the digastric muscle. Usually, the intermediate tendon of the digastric muscle penetrates the stylohyoid muscle near its insertion site.
