Urogenital triangle and anal triangle

The perineum can be subdivided into two parts by an imaginary line drawn transversely between both ischial tuberosities. These parts are known as the urogenital triangle anteriorly and anal triangle posteriorly. In the midline, at the junction of both triangles is the perineal body.
