The sclera is covered by the bulbar conjunctiva. Anteriorly, it is continuous with the cornea, and their junction site is called the corneal limbus or the corneoscleral junction. Between both parts and more within the scleral part is the sulcus sclerae, which is a circular groove that contains a circular canal known as the scleral venous sinus (canal of Schlemm).
