The arterial blood supply of the male urethra is derived from several sources, but it is primarily provided by the branches of the internal iliac artery (Read more!), mainly the internal pudendal artery (Read more!).

The intramural part receives arterial supply via the branches of the inferior vesical artery (Read more!; a branch of the internal iliac artery).
The prostatic part is supplied mainly by the prostatic branches of the inferior vesical artery. Also, it may receive arterial blood via the prostatic branches arising from the middle rectal artery (Read more!; also a branch of the internal iliac artery).
The membranous part is supplied by the branches of the urethral artery (Read more!) and the artery of bulb of penis (Read more!). Both arise from the internal pudendal artery. Additionally, this part may also receive branches from the middle rectal artery.
And finally, the spongy part is supplied by the urethral artery and the artery of bulb of penis. Also, the dorsal artery of penis (Read more!) supplies the urethra in the glans and near the external urethral orifice.

All these arteries form a rich vascular network that ensures adequate arterial blood supply for the male urethra.
