The carpal bones, or carpals, are a group of eight small and irregularly shaped bones that are found within the wrist. They are located between the bones of the forearm (radius and ulna) and the metacarpal bones. The carpal bones are organized into two rows - a proximal row and a distal row. Each row contains four carpal bones.
