Ejaculatory duct

The ejaculatory duct is a paired muscular, tube-like structure that is formed by the union of the excretory duct of the seminal gland (Read more!) and the ampulla of the ductus deferens (Read more!). It terminates by opening on the seminal colliculus (verumontanum) into the lumen of the prostatic urethra. The main function of the ejaculatory duct is to transport sperm and seminal fluid into the prostatic urethra.
