The mons pubis (also called mons veneris) is an area of skin-covered soft tissue located above the labia and anterior to the pubic bones and pubic symphysis. It has a triangular shape with the apex of the triangle facing down. The mons pubis forms the most anterior and superior portion of the vulva.
