Uterine artery
The uterine artery is a branch of the anterior division of the internal iliac artery (Read more!). It supplies arterial blood to the uterus as well as other female reproductive organs, and this artery is only found in females. The uterine artery plays a vital role in maintaining a steady blood supply to the uterus, especially during endometrial changes across the menstrual cycle and during uterine growth in pregnancy.
