Deep circumflex iliac artery

The deep circumflex iliac artery is one of two branches that arise from the external iliac artery (Read more!). It originates from the lateral side of the external iliac artery directly opposite the origin of the inferior epigastric artery. After it arises, the deep circumflex iliac artery ascends obliquely and laterally along the inguinal ligament (Read more!) and lateral wall of the abdominal cavity toward the anterior superior iliac spine.
