The inferior vesical artery is a branch of the anterior division of the internal iliac artery (Read more!). It has a relatively short course. After this artery arises, it passes towards the urinary bladder in the subperitoneal space. The inferior vesical artery emerges on the posterior aspect of the urinary bladder, where it ramifies. It mostly supplies the fundus and neck of the urinary bladder.
