The pubis features the following landmarks:

Pubic tubercle - rounded bony prominence found on the anterosuperior part of the body; the inguinal ligament and superior pubic ligament attach to this landmark;
Pubic crest - sharp, broadened upper border of the body; it is found medial to the pubic tubercle;
Symphyseal surface - sagitally-oriented midline surface that unites one pubic bone to the other at the pubic symphysis; between these surfaces of both pubic bones is a cartilage;
Pecten pubis (pectineal line) - superior sharp line (or ridge) found on the inner aspect of the superior ramus of the pubis;
Iliopubic (iliopectineal) eminence - bony elevation that marks the fusion site of the ilium and pubis; it is found lateral to the arcuate line;
Obturator groove - wide, oblique groove that is found on the inner surface of the superior pubic ramus at the superolateral aspect of the obturator foramen; this groove serves as the passage site for obturator vessels and nerve.
