At first, it is located medially in the anterior part of the upper arm together with the axillary artery and median nerve. The nerve then passes dorsally. In the forearm, it travels together with the ulnar artery and two ulnar veins. At the distal part of the forearm, it gives off the dorsal branch of the ulnar nerve, which innervates the dorsal skin of the palm.
