Compressor narium minor

The compressor narium minor is a small, inconsistent facial muscle that is located near the tip of the nose. Therefore, it is classified as a nasal muscle. Along with the transverse part of the nasalis muscle, the compressor narium minor compresses the nostrils. This muscle is present in slightly more than half of individuals and plays a role in decreasing the size of the nasal aperture and narrowing the nostrils.
