Posterior medial, anterior medial and anterior lateral malleolar arteries

The posterior medial malleolar branches are branches that arise from the posterior tibial artery. These branches turn around the medial malleolus and together with the medial anterior malleolar artery (from the anterior tibial artery) and the tarsal medial arteries (from the dorsalis pedis artery) create the medial malleolar network. It supplies the region of the medial malleolus, the tarsal bones, and the ankle joint.
