The suprascapular artery (also called the transverse scapular artery) is a branch of the thyrocervical trunk that supplies muscles of the scapula. Overall, branches of this artery supply muscles in the supraspinous fossa and infraspinous fossa, including the supraspinatus muscle and infraspinatus muscle.
