Lateral group of hand muscles (flexor pollicis brevis, opponens pollicis, adductor pollicis)

The following muscles belong to the muscles of the thumb, also known as the thenar muscles or lateral group of the hand muscles: abductor pollicis brevis, flexor pollicis brevis, opponens pollicis, and adductor pollicis.
