Overall, the posterior triangle contains the following structures: inferior belly of the omohyoid muscle, lymph nodes, subclavian artery, branches of the thyrocervical trunk, external jugular vein, subclavian vein, accessory nerve (CN XI), brachial plexus and sensory branches of the cervical plexus.
