Venous drainage of female urethra
The venous drainage of the female urethra largely mirrors its arterial blood supply and occurs through the following vessels: vesical venous plexus (drains the proximal aspect of the urethra into the internal iliac vein via the vesical veins), vaginal venous plexus (drains most of the urethra and empty into the internal iliac vein via the vaginal veins), internal pudendal vein and its tributaries (accompany the internal pudendal artery and also drains into the internal iliac vein).
