Petrosquamous sinus

The petrosquamous sinus (Latin: sinus petrosquamous) is a dural venous sinus that lies in the temporal bone.

It runs backwards in a groove along the junction of the squamous and petrous parts of the temporal bone, draining into the transverse sinus.

Anteriorly, the petrosquamous sinus connects with the retromandibular vein via the squamous foramen.
